Level of Accessibility
Adjustments were made to the site according to the recommendations of the Israel Accessibility Standard, TI 5568, for content accessibility on the Internet, and the guidelines of the International WCAG 2.0/2.1 standardization body for level AA.
Measures Taken to Increase Site Accessibility
The site was built and adapted for the latest versions of the Chrome, FireFox and Edge browsers as well as for viewing on iPhones and Android smartphones.
The site provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies and for support for the accepted usage pattern for keyboard navigation using arrow keys, Enter and Esc to exit menus and windows.
In addition, font size can be increased or decreased, adjusted and aligned, and fonts can be changed for increased readability. Color contrast can be changed on dark or light backgrounds and site colors can be changed. The cursor size and color can be changed. The display can be increased to 200%. Links and headings can be highlighted. Alternative image descriptions can be displayed, the size of the content selected with the cursor can be increased, words can be described via mouse selection, the site’s content can be displayed in a new window, and contents can be typed using a mouse.
